Our story

This path for me started long ago I grew up in the 80's the hey-day of rock-n-roll so many guitars so many builders.My journey began in my high school days wood-shop classes I have always had a desire to create. Fast forward 40 years I still find myself wanting to create things with the age of the internet I spent countless hours searching for that perfect piece of wood in which to start with. And this completely got out of hand which in turn started another company because I bought too much wood sorry each piece was better than the last you know how it goes I sell this excess wood through e-bay and other avenues under Thetonewoodconnection yep all one word. In seeking out and Immersing myself into the world of wood/lumber I have been many places and have met many good and interesting people. I have learned so much about wood and its unique characteristics along the journey and of course I picked the very best to build guitars from I've tried many combinations looking for different tones, nuances and weight of these woods. Why is weight important well no sense in being uncomfortable standing on stage for hours with a boat anchor around your neck. Next you have the world of hardware bridges, tuners, pickups and finishes which is a whole different level as you can imagine, "brain overload" I have found, like myself generally you don't know what you want until you see it and touch it. I strive to construct guitars with there own character, unique character so if you want a instrument that looks like somebody else's then I'm probably not your Guy if you want to pick things out yourself then I could be the Guy
